CITY MUSEUM
The Museo della Città (City Museum), which is located in Piazza del Plebiscito, in a building that housed the hospital of St. Thomas of Canterbury in the Middle Ages and a fish market in the 19th century, narrates the history of Ancona from its origins.

Its 600sqm are divided into four sections:
– from the origins to 1000 AD
– 1000 AD to 1532
– 1532 to 1797
– 1797 to 1860
Explore the history of Ancona, from its prehistoric origins up to the Unification of Italy, through detailed models and a wide variety of exhibits: archaeological artifacts, works of art, maps and documents, which contrast and compare the city now and how it used to be.
