Since 1952 it is located in the former bishop&#8217;s residence, next to the <a href=\"https:\/\/anconatourism.it\/en\/art-and-culture\/churches\/san-ciriaco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cathedral of Ancona<\/a>. Then, objects from other churches, closed or destroyed by bombings during World War II, found a new home in the Museum.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Museum boasts paintings ranging from the14th to the 19th century, and more than 460 exhibits, including sculptures, inscriptions, parchments, precious fabrics and tapestries, jewels, terracotta objects, tables, painted canvases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The museum also preserves a collection of coins and medals from Ancient Rome and the Middle Ages, and the treasure of the Cathedral, consisting of ancient silverware, textiles and sacred ornaments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We recommend visiting it along with a visit to the Cathedral of San
