Triglyphs and shells of St. James on the entablature are the hallmark of Vanvitelli\u2019s work, who died before it was completed. Work was resumed by architect Filippo Marchionni, commissionned by Pope Benedict XIV to complete the new pier of the port of Ancona.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner
