Itinerary in greenery and history

From the port, go up Corso Garibaldi, the main shopping street, and halfway up the street, turn at Via Indipendenza up to the entrance to Cardeto park: the old barracks that you will find in front of you now houses the Faculty of Economics. Next to it is one of the entrances to the park, a vast green area that contains many other examples of 19th-century military architecture, such as the Castelfidardo Armory and the defense walls.

The Cardeto park is rich in nature but also in history: here stands one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Europe and an ancient lighthouse: you will reach it through panoramic roads overlooking the sea.
