MEZZAVALLE BEACH

Located on the Conero Riviera, Mezzavalle is perhaps the most beloved beach by the people of Ancona: free, wild, unique. It is a magical and spacious place, where you can have fun with friends or simply spend time alone with yourself, away from the crowds and immersed in unspoiled nature.

It represents the natural continuation of Portonovo bay, extending for about one and a half kilometers with a sandy shoreline characterized by fine gravel and sloping seabeds. The coastal promontories, with all their greenery and summer colors, end dramatically on the beach just a few meters from the water, offering a breathtaking spectacle and also some precious natural shaded areas. However, it is advisable to bring an umbrella, especially during the hottest months of the year.

The beach is accessible through a very steep but well-marked and passable trail that starts from the Conero provincial road above the beach. The trail requires suitable footwear for the descent and ascent, but the reward that awaits visitors by the sea amply compensates for this small effort.

Mezzavalle is completely free and offers essential services: public restrooms with showers are located on the right side of the trail connection with the provincial road above, while a bar-restaurant is active right at the end of the same trail.
