RED LIGHTHOUSE
Located in the old port of Ancona, facing towards the east, the Lanterna Rossa (Red Lighthouse) is a popular attraction with locals and visitors.
The Lanterna Rossa was featured in the film “The Girl with a Pistol” by Mario Monicelli, which was set in Brighton, starring iconic Italian actress Monica Vitti. Her portrait at the base of the lighthouse is a homage by street artist Icks.
The sight of the ships and fishing boats that come and go at dawn or at sunset make this place a truly magical one, ideal for a date!
Reasons to visit:
- Romantic location
- One of the most beloved landmarks
